REGIONAL office bearers for the Lower South Coast Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) were elected during regional conferences on Saturday.

The first conference of the party since 2014 in the region was held at Umdlalo lodge.

The elected regional leadership collective was congratulated by the party and have been mandated “to champion the implementation of land without compensation in the region.

“We appreciate the manner in which delegates from all the branches exercised discipline and ensured that they hold productive conferences,” said EFF regional secretary Mpumi Mbono.

One of the resolutions taken at the conference was for the party’s leadership to meet with the traditional leadership to clarify the issue of land expropriation without compensation.

The party’s national delegation, led by Commissar Reneilwe Mashabela and Nontando Nolutshungu, mandated the leadership of the organisation to grow the party in the region and to focus on the national elections.
