A 34-YEAR-OLD man from KwaNyuswa in Ezinqoleni is “lucky to be alive” after sustaining four gunshot wounds to his upper body.

It is alleged that at about 7.30 pm on Friday the man left his house to go and relieve himself at an outside toilet when suddenly shots were fired at him. He was taken to Murchison Hospital for medical attention and thereafter, transferred to Port Shepstone Hospital.

“The motive for the shooting is still being investigated via an attempted murder docket. No arrests have been made at this stage,” said Margate SAPS spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka. — Supplied.
