Fantastic trio of events coming up at annual cycle tour

2018-09-13 06:01

FOR more than 19 years, Pro Deo has gone more than just the extra mile to work with and support the aged, disabled and cancer sufferers in our local community.

This passion and commitment is driven through inter-church networking, home-care services, building partnerships with other voluntary organisations and the recruitment of more active members.

The Pro Deo Annual Cycle Tour is one of their biggest fund-raising events. This year Pro Deo is making it even bigger by joining hands with the South Coast Round Table, BMW Supertech Shelly Beach and San Lameer Country Club.

Join the amazing trio of events at San Lameer Estate and San Lameer Country Club to help raise funds for the aged, disabled and cancer sufferers.

Pro Deo will also, for the 17th year in a row, welcome back their cyclists who would have cycled over 800 km in four days.

Event one of the trio is the Golf Day at San Lameer Country Club on Sunday, September 16 at the San Lameer Country Club, entry is R400 per person which includes Green Fee, golf cart sharing, Grab ‘n Go, prize giving snacks and live entertainment. Tickets for this are available at the San Lameer Country Club.

Event two of the trio is a fun run at San Lameer Estate, also on Sunday, starting and finishing at the San Lameer MTB Trail. The 5,5 km fun run starts at 7 am on the day.

The entry fee is R120 per person and gets participants a breakfast bun, coffee or tea, prize giving, snacks and live entertainment.

Tickets for this are available at the Giant South Coast Shop, South Coast Mall. Contact 039 315 0058.

Finally, event three of the trio is the MTB Fun Ride at San Lameer Estate (MTB Trail). The eight-kilometre MTB Trail Ride starts at 9 am, also at R120 per person.

Tickets to this event are also available at the Giant South Coast Shop, South Coast Mall.

“Lucky prizes are up for grabs on the day. The community and corporate organisations’ loyal support are greatly appreciated,” said Jolandi Cloete from the San Lameer Golf Estate.
