THE Kyokushinkaikan fighters from Gamalakhe took part in a karate tournament at Umlazi in Durban recently where they maintained their record of featuring in all significant positions.

This was a provincial event and participants came from all corners of KZN.

Sensei Dr Sipho Nzimande says his fighters have a future in the sport because they are a dedicated group, which he trains five days a week, with one day on the beach.

Nzimande also trains juvenile karateka at the dojo at ZG Hall in Gamalakhe.

The next event is on 30 April in Clermont. - Supplied.
