In just a few days, matriculants around the country will sit down for the final examinations for the Class of 2018.

A total of 796 542 matric candidates will be writing the examination across 6 888 examination centres in the country.

The 2018 National Senior Certificate exams begin on October 22 with the non-official languages and will conclude on November 28.

Sister Joans High School in Murchison is among the schools that have excelled in the matric results in the past.

South Coast Fever visited the school on Monday while matric leaners were in their classrooms preparing for examinations. The learners have been attending classes even during the weekends.

Physical Science teacher Siyabonga Mpanza was monitoring learners as they had some group engagements.

Pupil Ziyanda Mqhakama pointed out that the writing of exams can be challenging, but working hard will help her to excel.
