Fish & music carnival not to be missed

THE Hibiscus Coast Business Forum, which is affiliated to the SBI, is presenting its second annual Rocky Ridge Fish & Music Carnival on Saturday, June 23.

The event brings together 10 hours of live music and seafood in a rustic environment and promises to be a day full of fun for the entire family to enjoy.

From Johannesburg, the five-piece rock band “Bite” is an outfit that brings you the authentic feel of pure quality from a golden era, playing great tunes of classic rock. Also performing is the highly successful Durban-based Freddy L, performing with a four-piece band bringing some indie, soul and pop rock music.

The Gentry is a great cover band with a unique repertoire, fantastic vocal harmonies and interpretations of the material, performing tracks from The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Radiohead and others. The local sensation Tascha will transport you back in time for the ultimate vintage musical experience, bringing back memories of the swing and boogie era. She has a unique classy style of electro-swing, jazz, pop and modern ragtime.

The ever popular Charl V is an award-winning Elvis tribute artist and has stunned fans with his unbeatable Elvis impersonation.

This is indeed an impressive line-up of performers, with live music starting at noon and going right through to 11 pm. The event is hosted at the newly upgraded and improved Rocky Ridge in Fascadale Road, Ramsgate.

Apart from the music and seafood on offer, there will be several stalls and lucky draws, and two fully stocked bars. Tickets will be sold at the gate at R60 per person with free entry for under 16s. For information contact Eugene on 082 779 3144. — Supplied
