THE countdown to the first annual Spring Food and Wine Tasting Experience later this month has began.

Sardonyx Projects and Supplies Pty, Ltd will be hosting the event on 29 October at Umthunzi Hotel and Conference Centre in Umtentweni.

Starting at 10am until 10pm, this will showcase a variety of wine houses and also how to correctly pair wine and food.

Entry is R200 per person, inclusive of wine tasting and food pairing, access to a shopping experience, a networking platform, edutainment, entertainment by local musicians and deejays, a spit braai for dinner and fun. Tickets are limited to 400 people, available at Sugar Babes Salon in Shelly Centre.

Pop-up stalls for small local businesses and crafters to showcase their products and demonstrate their services are available and cost R1 000 per 3mx3m space, with a table and two chairs.

Distell and Vinimark will educate about the enjoyment of a variety of wines, tasting and its health benefits in promoting healthy living lifestyles. The wine tasting will be open for two hours only, and a cash bar will be available.
