Free Croc World entry for fathers on Sunday

2016-06-16 06:00

SUNDAY is Father’s Day and Crocworld Conservation Centre is offering free entry for dads, stepdads and granddads.

Croc World’s Martin Rodrigues said its an opportunity to spend quality family time together at Crocworld Conservation Centre.

“On Sunday 19 June, the centre will be getting into the spirit of Father’s Day by offering free entry to all dads.

Children and adults will be mesmerised by the inhabitants of the park’s famous crocodile pools, which house no fewer than four different crocodilian species, including centenarian Nile crocodile Henry,” said Rodrigues.

Dads can enjoy the feeding and talk sessions starting at 11am and 3pm, which offers a chance to see these magnificent reptiles in action.

“After the morning feed, guests will have the opportunity to learn all about the park’s resident snakes at the 11.30am snake demonstration and those that want a closer look will be able to admire the snakes from behind the safety of their enclosures,” said Rodrigues.

“We also have a shop, the ideal place for a last-minute Father’s Day shopping spree, while on-site restaurant Le Rendez-Vous gives Dad the excuse to kick back with a beer and a burger while admiring the sea view,” he said.

Vouchers for the nursery are available at the gift shop, while other gift ideas include annual family membership for just R625.

“We are looking forward to welcoming fathers to the centre and hope many people make use of the free entrance for fathers on the day.”

For the rest of the family, tickets are R70 per adult, and R45 for children aged between four and 12. Children under four go free, pensioners receive a discounted rate of R50 per person.
