THE first talent show at the Gamalakhe Z.G. hall - Showcase - on 31 December, 2015 was a huge success.

Organiser Vala Zama of Black Geko Films said the turn-out was amazing, with more than 30 artists entering.

They all stood the chance of winning a music video recording worth R5 000, and R2 000 cash.

“With so much local talent the competition was very tough,” said Zama.

Ofcoz, a young up-and-coming underground hip-hop artist, won first prize.

“Ofcoz won a music video shoot with hip-hop group Massive Entertainment, which will be shot by Black Geko,” said Zama.

The runner-up was Hot Revolver, another a hip-hop artist who will also be shooting a music video.

Zama congratulated the winners and thanked supporters who came to the show.

The next Showcase talent competition will be on
