THE families of pupils at Mabongweni High received food hampers courtesy of the Gift of the Givers, Vodacom and Dumakude Hardware at the school on Saturday.

The organisations said they thought to reach out to the school as it was situated in the deep rural area of Elim Paddock with most families very underprivileged.

The principal Nomfazwe Hlongwana said she was “extremely grateful” for the donations.

“As a community we have not forgotten the last time Gift of the Givers donated water and hygiene packs during the water crisis. Thank you so much for your care and dedication to many communities that seek assistance at dire times,” said Hlongwana.
