ID books and cards must be collected

DEPARTMENT of Home Affairs (DHA) Port Shepstone is calling on identity book and card applicants, who have not collected their documents, to collect them over a special collection weekend of 16 and 17 July.

Nqobile Nhleko of DHA said there are a number of ID cards and books waiting to be collected.

“As of this month we have over 180 books from 2014, 350 from 2015 and 1 526 2016 that still need to be fetched.

“Our offices will be open on Saturday 16 July from 8.30am am to 3pm and on Sunday 1pm to 3pm. Those who have applied in the last three years are urged to collect them that weekend.”

Collections can be made during the week during office hours.
