THE sixth annual Inkundla Theatre Festival at the Uvongo Town Hall on Sunday was a huge hit, organisers said.

The event featured plays by actors from all over the South Coast, which kept festival-goers entertained throughout the day.

Theatre lovers from Port Edward to Hibbedene filled the town hall for the festivities, and one such person, Nandi Nkasa from KwaNzimakhwe, said she was pleased with the performances.

“I enjoyed myself and loved the show. The performances were really good.”

The winners of the R5 000 prize were Buhle Kay and Sboniso Xaba who blew the judges away with their “gripping” performances.

“The festival was huge success. We’d like to thank all our sponsors and everyone who supported the event,” said the project manager, Siya Sotsu.
