THE Port Shepstone NG Kerk invites all women to the Women’s World Day of Prayer on March 2, starting at 9.30 am for 10 am.

Organiser Anita Roodt said the theme for this year’s prayer is “All God’s creation is very good.” The Women’s World Day of Prayer dates back to the 19th century and has grown into a global prayer movement with services held on the same day all over the world.

“This year’s service has been prepared by the women of Suriname in South America,” said Roodt.

She said eight other churches will join NG Kerk in the prayer and the community is invited.

“We received the divine gift of God’s creation and we must pass it on to the next generation. Please come let us worship together as women of guidance of the committee,” said Roodt.

She said a collection will be done at the end of service and tea will be served in the church hall.

DIRECTIONS:

From Port Shepstone’s Mitchell Drive north, turn left into Unity street, then left into Voortrekker Road, and then right into Church Street.

For more information Roodt can be contacted on 073 206 9260 or Anna Potgieter on 079 491 2109.
