RUN South Coast Entertainment in Partnership with MTV will host the MTV Base Social on June 30 in Hibberdene.

The event is an indoor/outdoor lounging and cocktail experience, featuring acoustic music, pop-up society, hookah bar, craft beer, live streaming, soul food, runway models and generally great live entertainment.

It is aimed at creating a much needed social link and a scene to socialise as well as network.

“The fact that social networking is constantly changing, makes keeping up with change challenging.

The event and other RUN South Coast initiatives are thus aimed at creating a much needed social link and a scene to socialise as well as network.

“Our ‘movement’ thus provides access to interaction with the new, recent and the old,” said organiser and founder of RUN South Coast Terry Morgan Govender.

“Over the years we’ve created the movement, setting a motion of socials is basically keeping the society networking together. RUN gatherings are not typical nor average, we bring together all social life. We would like to expand on that and we want the South Coast community to be a part of the movement,” said Govender.

In today’s ever-changing environment, more and more individuals with drive and passion have the vision to own their dreams, take centre stage and be celebrated for their accomplishments.

“We are a group of diffusely organised people striving toward a common goal relating to human society or social change, or the organised activities of such a group.

“We gather for the purpose of promoting fellowship,” said Govender.

In today’s ever-changing environment, more and more individuals with drive and passion have the vision to own their dreams, take centre stage and be celebrated for their accomplishments.

“Through our years of practical hands-on experience in the entertainment sector, we are in the perfect position to assist our peers.

Our movement ensures that the programmes, socials and events are widely understood and aligned to uplift the South Coast,” said Govender.

“Our development programme is carefully targeted to ensure alignment between the ‘A’ players and ‘start-up’ players.

“Development is especially important for ‘A’ players, as strong performers expect to be given new opportunities to learn.

“Overall, engaging in our movement provides access to interaction with the new, recent and the old,” said Govender.

The event will be taking place from 1pm at the Barn in Hibberdene. Tickets are R50 at the door.
