Justice prevails no longer in SA

A PERSON with three cases against him, including assault with a weapon, walked free last week from the court in Port Shepstone due to the police fingerprint expert not turning up to give vital evidence.

Where is the justice in this for the victims of his crimes? Why are the police so slack and basically helping these criminals get back on the street to do the same things again. Surely they have the interest of the victims at heart? No, it does not seem so and the criminals know that they can get away with murder.

In December, 2014 I was attacked, beaten and robbed at knife point in Ramsgate. The criminal stole not only my computer, cellphones and ring, but also deprived me of 10 years’ work which I lost, and has spoilt the rest of my life.

My work entailed a lot of photographic work, but now I am too terrified to go out anywhere on my own in case I get assaulted again and my camera stolen. I am a pensioner and cannot afford to replace either the camera or the laptop so for the rest of my life I cannot do any of the work I planned to do.

As I have no family, I spent eight months trying to go through daily living with only one arm as the other was injured so badly.

Have you ever tried driving, bathing, dressing, making food with only one arm? Yet, the person who did this to me gets away with it.
