KHANYA Hospice welcomes volunteers from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Johnathan Clarke and Natalie Garland.

Clarke, a qualified pharmacist and Garland, a social worker have offered to volunteer at Hospice for two months. Clarke was here four years ago with four friends. He was studying at the time, but has since qualified. They are passionate about the work that Hospice is doing and with their contribution are trying to help make a difference in the lives of people that they have never seen or met.
They are enjoying the Durban summer while their friends and family in Belfast are experiencing winter and low temperatures.
People have welcomed them with open arms and they have had good South African experiences - “Selvie’s bunny chows” - and have seen how the other half lives. Anyone wanting to make donations to Hospice, clothes, whatever you have to give away, contact Hospice on 039 973 1783, 083 597 8985 or email Hospice@
