THE gymnastics team at St Martin de Porres school did well in the Provincial Schools Summer Games, held in Durban from October 12 to October 14, with four learners being chosen to be part of the KZN gymnastics team to represent the province at national level in the SA School Sports Championships, to be held in Johannesburg in December.

Thandeka Phakathi came first in her age group in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) level one; Angela Makhenke came first in the Aerobic Gymnastics level one; Amahle Ngidi came first in Rope Skipping level two and second in Aerobic Gymnastics level one; and Avuyile Majalimane was placed second in Rope Skipping level two. We wish the team all the best as they proceed to the National Championships.
