THE Hair Shoppe has been in business on the South Coast in Uvongo Village for many years.

Situated next to the Educational Toy Shoppe, the store is managed by Marian van der Linden, who works alongside her highly qualified hair technician sons Johann and Gert.

The hairstyling done by the pair is immaculate as they were both trained in Italian Aquarely hair colour, which is a low ammonia hair colour with natural oils like soya, wheat germ and essential oils. Johann previously worked as a hair technician for Designer Group and was on their show team as well. Gert was a hair technician for H.M.H. which distributed Italian colour as well.

Recently, Annetjie Luphe and Dorelle Riekert also joined the team. Annetjie is well known on the South Coast and is one of the few stylists that can do everything, including perms, sets and the like with foils being her speciality. Dorelle, her daughter, is a well known nail technician that works with acrylic and who does nail art and pedicures.

The two trainee stylists, who also do head massages, are Dominique Bruigom and Lucien Bezuidenhoud. Dominique did training on make-up and Lucien specialises in gel nails and pedicures.

“We are lucky to have such a phenomenal team taking care of all our hair and beauty needs on the South Coast.

“Hair for weddings can be done in the comfort of your home, if it is in the area, and our shop is wheelchair friendly. We hope to have our own wheelchair ready in the next week so we can assist patrons from the parking area. The shop is air conditioned and does have an outside area for smokers. Finally, the coffee is good,” said manager said Marian van der Linden.

Patrons can book their appointment online.
