Look after the children

2016-12-22 06:01

I WOULD like to plead with guardians to look after children when taking them to the beach. I have worked a shop that caters to beach-goers and on numerous occasions I have had to look after a lost child until police arrived.

Since schools closed we regularly see people arrive with bakkie loads of children and not even look after them as they swim.

When it is time to go they pack up and one is left behind without even bothering to ensure everyone is accounted for.

Please don’t put unnecessary strain on law enforcement authorities. Look after your children at the beach.
