Man appears in court for marijuana charges

An Mkholombe man appeared before the Port Shepstone Magistrates Court on Monday, September 10 on charges of dealing marijuana.

Msawenkosi Mdina is facing charges of dealing marijuana after he was caught by the Port Shepstone police last Friday. Mdina was caught by the dedicated team members that were patrolling at the taxi rank.

According to court reports, Mdina was stopped by the police and they found bags of marijuana in his possession.

During questioning, the suspect told the police that the marijuana was for his friend.

The case has been postponed to September 20, 2018 for a formal bail application. Mdina will remain in custody until then.
