A 27-YEAR-OLD man, who was ironically watching a movie about drug lords, got the surprise of his life when two policemen knocked on his door and arrested him for being in possession of drugs.

The man was arrested on Tuesday after police found 130 mandrax tablets and 208 straws of heroin which were hidden under a cement block under his bed. Warrant Officer Sydney Seaton and Constable Wallace Daniels from Port Shepstone Crime Prevention Unit went to the house in Bhobhoyi on a crime intelligence-driven operation and searched his room.

Bank notes to the value of R1 780 were also confiscated. The street value of the drugs is R11 830.

The suspect will appear in Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court for dealing in drugs.
