2017-03-23 06:02

A DOMESTIC worker in a block of flats in Margate found a 44-year-old man dead in a pool of blood on Saturday at 3.20pm.

The woman was prompted to get help from the receptionist after she knocked on a door of a flat she was to clean, but got no response. She did however, notice the lights were on.

After opening the door she and the receptionist discovered the man’s body.

Margate police were called to the scene.

“It would appear that the flat was also ransacked as it was in disorder. He had an open wound to the neck,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

A murder case has been registered for investigation. No arrests have been made. - Supplied.
