THE family of Marshal Applegreen from Wentworth were overjoyed to see their brother return home safely last Thursday, May 17.

Applegreen was missing for three weeks, after a weekend with friends on the South Coast in Shelly Beach on April 28.

Applegreen’s sister, Taba confirmed that her brother, who is epileptic, walked into their home at around 6.30 pm in the evening, with no serious injuries.

She said that he had walked from the South Coast to Wentworth during the time that he was missing and his feet were swollen as a result.

“We are so happy about his return. He said he relied on road signs to lead him home as motorists refused to give him a lift because his clothes were dirty. Later on during his journey, he said he met a good Samaritan who gave him clean clothes and shoes,” said Taba. She said that she would like to thank the community who was on the lookout for him and also the police for their efforts.
