Mandrax and heroin seized

A 34-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in Tintown, Gamalakhe on Wednesday of 11 parcels of different drugs.

Port Shepstone Public Order Policing members, Constable Mzwakhe Makana, Constable Raphael Smithwick and Constable Travis Dickens were acting on information and went to a house and found the man.

The bags contained 3 300 capsules of heroin and 125 mandrax tablets. The estimated street value is R4 400. The man was detained and will be charged with dealing in drugs and will appear in court soon.

The community is encouraged to continue to report information on drugs to the police. Cluster Commander Major-General Sethenya Nxamagele was delighted when she was informed about the arrest and recovery.
