IF you’re looking for a fun way to keep your children entertained during the school holidays then a line of exciting pop-up stores, live music and fire dancers is your answer.

The Mardi Gras is in town and the organisers said to expect the best of safe evening fun on Marine Drive in Margate.

“This season we will once again be having performances by Dion Williams, a local acoustic singer, and the fire dancers who are a favourite with the children,” said Corrie Wernick from Margate Business Association.

“We organise this event every school holiday to give the businesses in the area an opportunity to keep their doors open at night and holidaymakers to shop and be safe,” said Wernick.

The Mardi Gras started yesterday and will be held every Wednesday from 6pm on Marine Drive until July 19. Entry is free.

For more information on stall bookings, contact Wernick on 072 561 4854.
