Margate community to receive improved water supply

2018-07-19 06:00

WATER supply to the Margate community is set to improve in the next three months, this as work continues to be completed on the Southern Mains Water Pipeline, a multimillion rand project that will provide a safe and reliable source of portable water supply to the Margate community and, simultaneously, minimise water breakages due to aging infrastructure. Ugu District Municipality spokesman France Zama said the R 184 million project will be completed by the end of September.

“As all work done by the Municipality should have a connection to the alleviation of poverty, unemployment and inequality in our communities, this project has created 69 temporal employment opportunities for locals,” he added.
