AT only 21 he is a model, fashion designer, ICT student and founder of a local talent scouting charity organisation.

Extension 3 in Margate resident, Msingathi Sibe Gelese’s endeavours know no bounds as he goes after his next undertaking, the Mr KZN Top Model SA 2017 title.

Gelese only began modelling last year, however, he immediately won the 2016 Walter Sisulu University Mr Freshet crown.

Following his success as a model Gelese then saw the opportunity to use modelling to grow his other ventures.

“I saw modelling as a marketing strategy for our urban clothing brand ‘Seasonz’.

“One of my brand partners is a Dubstep dancer well known in Johannesburg and a finalist of SA’s Got Talent 2013, and I saw how that worked to our advantage,” said Gelese.

“However, I have grown to love modelling as a field. I see myself as a successful, inspirational model with the ability to train and give advice to other young models who want to make it in the industry.

“This would also be an extension of what we do at Premier Arts and Crafts Unit. We are a non-profit organisation [youth development] that mainly deals with discovering talent in young people at a young age, and also nurturing their talent.”

The young entrepreneur said his family is supportive of his pursuits.

“I grew up in a united family, where you would not see or feel the need of having biological parents. I’ve lost my mother at a young age, but my grandmother, who is my pillar of my strength, took care of me the same way she did with her five daughters. I am so blessed to be part of the G-fam,” said Gelese.
