Municipality logo not yet finalised

IT’S been months since the amalgamation of Hibiscus Coast and Ezinqoleni municipalities.

Two months after the merger was made official the new Ray Nkonyeni Municipality logo has still not been finalised.

Responding to a question at a media briefing at council chambers on Tuesday, municipal manager Max Mbili said the municipality is in the final stages of presenting the new logo to council.

He said the exact date of the presentation has not been set, however, it is possible that by the next council meeting the logo will be ready to be presented to council.

Mbili didn’t want to commit himself to a set date, but said the latest it would be ready will be November.

Ray Nkonyeni Mayor Councillor Nomusa Mqwebu explained to the media that there has been a hold up with the process.

“Councillors have been attending workshops and have been busy. We have been discussing the issue of the logo and the municipal manager has explained that finalisation will take place soon,” said Mqwebu.
