MATRIC pupils from two Murchison schools, Nkonka High and Sister Joans High, recently received medals and certificates for passing matric.

The event was held at Maveshe Hall in Murchison where Nduna Sbunge Mazubane and Sfiso Sikobi, councillors and others watched the 150 children receive accolades.

Vukazenzele Youth Development, ward councillor Simphiwe Memela and the youth were involved in making the event a success.

“Some of the children from underprivileged homes will receive bursaries from the KwaNdwalane Trust Fund so they can study further,” said Thulie Cebisa of Vukazenzele.

The matriculants also listened to motivational talks from varioius speakers.
