Musicians we’ve lost

2018-02-08 06:00

MUSICIANS seem to be departing these mortal realms in groups.

Take Tom Petty, Chris Cornell and Prodigy, and musical trailblazers like Fats Domino and Chuck Berry, who left in 2017, after George Michael, Prince and David Bowie checked out in 2016. Now it is only January 2018 and we have already lost our great Hugh Masekela and Dolores O’Riordan, the lead singer of the Cranberries who departed in the first month of the year.

O’Riordan was only 46 and nothing suspicious led to her death, according to the coroner, so all the other musicians should be extremely cautious for the rest of the year, perhaps?
