THE Eyethu Premier League kicked off the new season in Albersville sports grounds on Sunday.

In the first match, Citizen FC beat Bazokhala United by two goals to nil. Citizen FC’s goals came through Chris Mqadi and Jerom Msane. In the second match, Madiba Stars beat South Coast VW United by a goal to nil which came through Sphiwe Nyawose.

The current log standing sees Citizen FC at the top with the same number of points as Madiba Stars with goal difference as the advantage.

In this week’s fixture, Bafana FC take on Madiba Stars while Citizen FC takes on Lamont White City in the Favrit Home Centre KO Cup semi-final. South Coast VW United plays Bazokhala United.
