PUPILS of Louisiana Primary School went for second helpings when they were treated to samp and mutton curry, fruit and a cool drink, by Non Profit Organisation Touched By An Angel (TBAA), in collaboration with a group of pastors and their wives, known as Team Sold Out, on Tuesday.

TBAA founder Cookie Rampersad said she was impressed and amazed by the support she received from all the volunteers who helped her prepare the meals and who made donations towards making the feeding possible.

Rampersad said over 900 school children received a meal and the reason behind feeding that specific school is that many of the pupils in the school come from underprivileged families.

“Some of them go to school without having a proper meal. It is only human to think of such situations and offer a helping hand,” she said.

School deputy principal Samantha Umrathlal said the visit was really appreciated.

“The children were very happy, it was such a thoughtful gesture from the NPO and we really appreciate it,” said Umrathlal.
