THE National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) celebrated its 50th anniversary last Saturday at their Shelly Beach Station 2 by hosting a carnival. There was much entertainment and artists kept the crowd dancing.

Barry Payn, nephew of founding member Johan Payn, thanked everyone involved with the NSRI for their outstanding work.

NSRI diver Val Gibson said he enjoys being part of the team as the organisation celebrates half a centenary.
