PERPETUAL music is what psychedelic, trance and techno music lovers can expect at the first festival of 24 deejays in Pennington.

The Penny Drop Music Festival begins on December 8 until December 10.

Organiser and a member of Rave Culture, Steven Kent said Rave Culture is and has been an institution of music at pandemic at a universal level, made up of South African deejays who have brought a spectacular genre of music to South Africans and who have been in the music industry for many years.

The festival will feature DJ Antonio Amigo Santana from Durban, who has a passion for sound and flow of music. His sound has a percussive hint with a strong sync and who builds the tracks to keep the energy rising until the last drop.

“We will also have Miss Liang, presenter and music compiler on a Durban youth radio, DJ Budhu (Manoj Budhu), who has been in the industry since 1996 and is well known for local underground dance, Uncle Paul, Deeprythm, Mythology, Quasimodo and many more.

“The festival is packed with many activities, including a brewery for beer tasting, a bonfire at night, a flea market, and mouth-watering food stalls,” said Kent.

Doors open at 8am and the music starts pumping from 12pm on the Friday.

“The festival is for people 18 and older and no illegal substances and weapons will be allowed in. No alcohol can be brought onto the premises, and fully licenced bars will be available,” said Kent.

Tickets available from and at the gate.
