Penultimate leg - a ‘spectacular affair’

THE penultimate leg of the South Coast Fever MTB Series 2017 was a spectacular affair that combined mountain bike racing with wild game and scenic landscapes.

The Lake Eland Quattro Classic at Lake Eland was a heated battle to get valuable points as the winners are determined, and the competition is still wide open, and up for grabs.

The men’s race was won by Brennan Anderson and the first woman home was Deborah Thomas.

The series started on July 2 with the Sardine MTB Race in Port Edward, Ingeli Forest MTB on July 30 and the Sappi Scottburg MTB Race on August 13.

The last one in the series, the Wild Coast Sun MTB Challenge, takes place this Saturday at Wild Coast Sun.
