Police wage war on drug dealers

THE SAPS have warned South Coast drug dealers to watch out because they are coming after them.

Last Thursday two drug dealers were arrested by the Port Shepstone Drug Task team under the command of Detective Warrant Officer Herman Pienaar.

The men, aged 22 and 26, were arrested during an operation in Erasmus Road and the Port Shepstone Taxi Rank respectively.

Fifty heroin capsules and 30 mandrax tablets with a street value of R8 000 were seized.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the two were charged for dealing in drugs and will appear in the Ramsgate Court soon.

Ugu cluster commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele said one of her priorities in the cluster it to fight drugs.

“Communities are urged to report any drug activities to the police,” said Wiid.
