OHLANGENI primary school in Gamalakhe took their Grade R pupils on an educational and recreational tour to Margate on Friday.

The pupils enjoyed a fun-filled day with teachers Slindile Thushini, Dennis Maphumulo, and Bawinile Zulu, as well as a member from the school’s governing body, Sfiso Lushaba.

The tour included visits to various informative centres in Margate, including the Tourism Information Centre, as well as some shopping malls and markets.

The crew ended off their day with some swimming at the Margate beach and a filling lunch before embarking on the journey back home.

“The tour was fun as well as productive because we got to show the pupils all the things we usually talk about in class in the real world,” said Tushini.
