Pupils sent back at Gamalakhe

OVER 300 pupils were sent back on Monday morning at Gamalakhe TVET College after lining up for registration from as early as 4am.

Some, who came from the Eastern Cape, Mthatha, Bizana and others areas not on the South Coast, were told that registration would only start today.

According to social media and advertisements, registration was supposed to start on Monday. Its alleged that the college was supposed to release the 2015 results to pupils who were previously enrolled at the school.

On the college Facebook page it was announced that results were given out on Monday, and on Tuesday first preference for 2016 registrations­ were given to those who will be re-registering.

The Gamalakhe campus also gave out pamphlets with the correct registration dates on.

On Tuesday 12 January: NC (V) level (4) and N6 were given out.

On Wednesday 13 January: NC (V) level 3 and N5 were given out.

Thursday 14 January and Friday 15: NC (V) level (2) and N4.

Esayidi Tvet main office was contacted for comment on all campus registration deadlines, but no comment was received at the time of going to press.
