FAMILY Child Sex offences unit are looking for Thokozani Eric Mhlungu (42) as he may be able to assist in the rape of a 22-year-old woman from Ndelu area in St Faiths.

Its alleged that the suspect, who is known to the victim, dragged her into the sugar cane when walking along the road on 16 June, raped her, and thereafter fled. It is suspected he may be in the Durban area.

In another case, a disabled victim of 23 was alone at home on 16 May when the suspect entered her home at Gumatana area St Faiths and raped her.

Mthembeni Cele is sought to assist in this rape investigation.

Police spokesperson Colonel-Lieutenant Zandra Wiid said both cases are being investigated by Sergeant Beatus Cele from the Port Shepstone SAPS who can be contacted on 039 688 7900 or 082 064 9314.
