JOHN Rudling was a legend at the Margate Airport, being a helicopter flying instructor for a long time. He was also well known in the farming fraternity where he crop- sprayed sugar cane.

He was vice-chairman of the Margate Light Plane Club until 2016.

He was a keen golfer, good friend and dedicated family man.

We will miss you. Deepest condolences to Jenny, Megan and James.
“You dusted the crops from many a land

Flying with God, holding your hand.

But for the last time the rotors turned to the sky

Where forever you will now be flying high.”

Fly high our friend.
