MDLANGATHI High School recently awarded their top achievers at an event held at Margate Hotel.

The prize-giving ceremony was combined with the school’s matric farewell and pupils were encouraged to pursue their dreams with fervour after matriculating.

Guest speaker at the event was Phumlani M Foundation founder Phumlani Mzobe who spoke on the importance of preparedness in a student’s life. “Preparation helps pupils focus on the subjects they battle with and normally involves a lot of group work.

“Most students find themselves doing courses they don’t enjoy at university because they did not do proper planning and preparations ahead of applying,” said Mzobe. He said self motivation was another important factor. “There is nothing you can say to a person who lacks self motivation,” he said. Mzobe congratulated the top achievers assuring them that their hard work will yield them results in the future.
