PUPILS at South Coast Academy held successful innovative learning events at the school last week.

In the primary school, the Grade 4 class had fun while developing skills when they made musical instruments from recycled materials for their natural science and technology project.

Pupils said they learnt a lot about science and technology through the initiative. In the high school, the Grade 11 business science pupils also had a practical learning experience when they had their market day at the school last Friday.

“The market day was a fun experience and was also educational, as it gave pupils an opportunity to understand how it feels to run a business of their own and how to properly manage it according to the skills they have acquired during their business science classes,” said the school’s marketing manager Angie O’Reilly.

“A big thank you to school principal Mr E. Hess, business science teacher Mrs Chiinze and to the rest of the school for their support.”
