THE driver of a light motor vehicle was seriously injured after being involved in an accident on Friday evening.

Emergency services responded to the scene on the R61 between Ramsgate and Southbroom.

According to KZN Private Ambulance spokesperson Belinda Catchpole paramedics arrived at the crash site to find debris scattered all over the road.

“It is believed that the driver of one of the vehicles was ejected on impact. He was transported to hospital on a ventilator by Kwazulu Private Ambulance paramedics,” said Catchpole.

She said three other patients with minor injuries were also treated and transported to hospital.
