THE bright sparks at Port Shepstone Secondary were recently awarded for academic excellence at the school’s awards evening on Thursday.

Pupils who achieved academically and in co-curricular activities were recognised for their achievements.

The top achievers were Annika Chetty (Grade 8), Afeefah Hoosen (Garde 9), Tineal Govender (Grade 10), Timera Naidoo (Grade 11) and Karosa Moodley (Grade 12). The dux award went to Karosa Moodley and the dux approxime went to Shiven Chetty.

Tharish Ranjit and Shiven Chetty won the Good Fellowship award and the True Winner went to Yondela Ngquseka. Amir Dhanpath was Sports Boy and Pabatso Macupe was Sports Girl of the year.

The school thanks the governing body, staff, commerce department, sponsors, parents and well-wishers for their support in choosing Port Shepstone Secondary.
