THE stage was set and the red carpet rolled out for Port Shepstone Secondary’s matric dance on Friday.

The extravagant event was held in “ballroom style” at the Sheppie civic centre.

It was hard to tell whether it was a matric dance or an evening at London Fashion Week as the young women and men entered the hall, dressed to the nines.

Entrances also called for some jaw dropping as fancy cars, super-bikes and the like dropped off pupils.

“We are proud of our pupils whose impeccable behaviour brought credit to our school on this memorable evening,” said principal, Gary Odayar.
