Hibberdene SAPS held a women’s roadblock on Friday at Mhlungwa Bridge, Hibberdene from 12 am to 3 pm with the purpose of arresting undocumented persons, finding stolen vehicles and property, illegal firearms as well as drugs.

Role players from other law enforcement agencies such as RTI and the Department of Immigration were present to assist their female counterparts.

“Six persons were fined for road traffic offences at the roadblock.

“Hibberdene police continued with the operation late into the evening. They arrested two people who were sought for housebreaking and another for possession of dagga,” said Port Shepstone SAPS spokesperson Captain Petros Mpinge.
