AN advanced horse-riding instructor will visit Greenhill Equastrian Estate in Ramsgate on 12 and 13 March.

Karen Keller, of Johannesburg, will facilitate a dressage training clinic and train nine individuals.

The public is welcome to watch as this is the first time a trainer with her qualifications is visiting the South Coast.

“I own and manage a top competition and livery yard in the thriving horse capital of Johannesburg, Kyalami,” said Keller.

“I focus exclusively on riding and training in the discipline of dressage, but I have previously also competed in show jumping and eventing arenas.”

Keller is currently competing at an advanced level on her horse Rathmore Napoleon and at Prix St George level on her second horse, Hemmingway.

“I am also passionate about bringing in young horses and developing young riders,” she said.

Keller participated in the South African Dressage Coaches Development Course and obtained level five. She was placed in the top three in the examination.

Her achievements, accolades and experience in horse riding are extensive

“I competed in the FEI World Cup in 2014 and was placed first in the Prix St George on my Warmblood Stallion, Hemmingway,” she said.

Each person receives an hour lesson a day. Lessons start at 8am and end at 5pm.

Drinks will be sold at the clubhouse to spectators.

The estate is on Oatlands Road a kilometre from Pistols Saloon. For more information or directions, call 082 440 8531.
