Something to motivate the unmotivated areshni perumal

MIND stimulation, generally speaking, is mental exercise, where you indulge in activities to challenge your mental state of mind. What many people don’t realise is that once you train your brain and form an excitement towards gaining any type of knowledge, learning or studying becomes much easier.

We find that today we live in an ever-changing world where there is constantly something new to learn.

Often you hear people say, “Take a lesson out of every day” and this is where motivation comes into play. Recently something caught my attention.

I’m sure many of you will agree, but have you noticed how many people have become unmotivated? Scroll through your social media or look around you. Out of every four people there’s at least one person who is totally lost in thought or posting extremely depressing statuses.

The aim of this column is to remind everybody that it is important to keep yourself motivated - never let anybody discourage you.

I’m the biggest Lily Singh aka Superwoman fan, she is a YouTube personality who fought depression and dedicated her life to her YouTube where she motivates people in the most original ways.

She recently started an initiative called “Girl Love”, which is all about educating young girls to be independent, motivated and driven, to stop girl-on-girl hate, to remind people you don’t gain anything by putting other people down.

The more encouraged, inspired people are created the more they can turn the world around, so be the change you want to see in the world.

Oprah Winfrey once said: “Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life because you become what you believe.”

Dreams are meant to be fulfilled.

“Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric” - Bertrand Russell. Those are two of my favourite quotes, which I live by and they taught me that you don’t wait for opportunities you get out there, you find opportunities and then you simply embrace them.

We live in a world full of great minds, Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra, Ernest Hemingway and our own Nelson Mandela.

They’re legendary for motivating people. Those people were constantly told they were never going to make it in life and today some of us look up to them.

If you read any of their autobiographies you find a common factor, constructive criticism. That’s it. You take criticism and turn it into gold.

While interacting with many people daily, I find that mindset is based on a balance between past experiences and anything comforting from the present, which completely influences your future.

This has made me come to the conclusion that since everything is about social media today, share things to influence people in a good way.

I’ve had so many experiences where people tell me they’ve read what I posted and it made them laugh hard, or after reading a post something might have made more sense to them.

Make it your responsibility to make a difference in someone’s life.

The slightest difference may make the biggest impact.

Uplift, encourage, inspire, for the people who think they are crazy enough to change the world … usually do.
