SOUTHCOAST Mall shoppers donated generously to the mall’s toy story initiative that ran from November 29 to December 19.

The mall’s initiative co-ordinators said collection boxes were filled to the brim with toys for underprivileged children on the South Coast.

On the final day donations were handed to Child Welfare Port Shepstone and Margate to distribute.

“Truly the spirit of giving is evident on the South Coast as both the boxes were filled completely.

“We are very thankful to all our shelters for giving these donations from their hearts,” said mall marketing manager Jane Pillay.

Accepting the toys on behalf of Child Welfare was Samantha Podmore who said the organisation was grateful for the donations.

“These donations will put smiles on many children’s faces,” said Podmore.
