THE Spring Fling Beach Festival last week was cut short due to bad weather, however the two first days in Ramsgate and Margate were fun- filled.

Community members came out in large numbers to enjoy the beach sport with their friends and families while also mingling with the first batches of holiday- makers making most of the South Coast’s summer.

The organiser, Wozani Africa Events, managing director Vicky Wentzel thanked patrons for their support.

“The Spring Fling programme was well supported at Margate and Ramsgate beaches with great sunny weather days.

Unfortunately, the rest of the festival experienced high winds and rain and had to be cut short,” said Wentzel.

“Activities included all things related to beach ball sports - with touch rugby, beach cricket and beach volleyball still being the most popular sport among visitors and locals,” said Wentzel.
